Spoke Water Walk Midnight Run:

‘Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost’ and ‘Discover After Dark’ are slogans to describe a typical Midnight Run, an event pioneered and hosted by Inua Ellams that gathers complete strangers to play, walk, explore and reclaim the streets and hidden spaces in cities. This Midnight Run in partnership with A New Direction, Apples and Snakes and Spread the Word (SPOKE) will focus on National Day’s Theme of Water. We will begin at Hackney Town Hall at 5.45pm and explore the surrounding neighbourhoods, basketball courts, playgrounds, courtyards, parks and Canals until midnight. ‘Participants’ are advised to dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, bring a pen, a lighter, cash for food, an old newspaper and above all a healthy sense of adventure. As always, the run features artists from the borough and we have:

Raymond Antrobus
Michael Garrett
Giordano Di Pino-Forino
Alex Mills
